I love these sites for their content which is informative and
interesting.
- Museum Of
Middle Eastern Dance. One of my most favourite sites. A photo gallery scanned
pictures from vintage postcards, Hollywood posters, and other
sources depicting women in Middle Eastern dance settings. Some are
genuine ethnic portrayals, some Westerners' harem fantasy.
- Omphalo
Stepses. A great section on patterns for belly dance
clothing.
- Belly Dance Home
Page. Highly recommended site for information on many topics
such as trance dance.
- Raqs Kashmir. This site by
Kashmir in New Zealand a great section on safe dancing tips. Things
you maybe hadn't even thought of. Great from a teachers
prospective.
- The Gilded
Serpent. A great online magazine published by Lynette Harris
full of articles. You can also archive them from older issues.
- Belly
Dancing For Older Women. The title says it all.
- Belly
Dancers with Dancer Breast Cancer Survey. Here belly dancers who have had breast cancer
can fill in a questionnaire to share how they feel about their dancing in relation to cancer.
A great site.
- Middle
Eastern Dance Resource Guide. This is another top favourite of
mine with lots of articles and good links. If you are looking for a
dance name check out this site, with a section of hundreds of
appropriate dance names..
- Yasmina's
Belly Dance Home Page. By Yasmina. An American site. A
great site to look at, very comprehensive. Worth revisiting time and
time again.
